Battle Hill Teams Event

The Battle Hill Teams Event is a fun One Day Event (ODE) for teams of Pony Club Riders.

The aim is to have ALL Pony Club Branch riders in a team!

• There are four riders per team.
• Each Branch is encouraged to enter as many teams as it can.
• The teams from each Branch ideally should have riders evenly distributed across all levels (65cm, 80cm and 90cm) if numbers and ability allow.
• Composite teams can be made from any draft riders submitted by Branches.
• All riders are to be financial members of Pony Club
• All riders must have completed the appropriate rally requirement for their certificate level as per
  Rule 15.4 NZPCA General Regulations or present a dispensation from their District Commissioner with the team entry.
• Instructors may ride at their own level to make up numbers in a team but their scores will not count.
• Instructors may form a separate team if not required to ride for a Branch team.

Prizes

Teams compete for:

• The Jack Cottle Trophy presented to the winning team.
• 2nd and 3rd Place Shields
• Best Presented Shield: Awarded to the team that demonstrates the highest standard of presentation and turnout of riders and mounts.
• Fair Play Shield: Awarded to the team that clearly and consistently demonstrates and acts on the principles of the ESNZ Change the Rein initiative in the way they treat their horses, team mates, other competitors, parents, helpers and officials.
