Business House Bowls

The annual Business House Bowls competition is one of the club's most popular social competitions and attracts players from a wide range of companies and individuals in the Rodney District.

It is designed for casual players and first-time bowlers who want to enjoy a game of bowls with their work colleagues or mates in a social and fun environment.

Teams consist of three players and can change players from week to week depending on who they have available.

Club bowls are available for use and there are club members available to help new players.

One game of ten ends is played, which takes approximately 1½ hours.

Bowling commences at 6pm, but the bar and kitchen, which serves meals and snacks, are open and available from 5pm through to the end of the evening (normally about 8.30pm).

There are prizes for the winning and the runner-up teams each night, as well as several raffles which are drawn after the prize giving.

The overall winning team at the end of the tournament wins and gets their names engraved on the BHB trophy.

The competition is run over ten sessions every second Tuesday, with five sessions before Christmas and five in the New Year, with a break of 5–6 weeks over the holiday period.
