Brooklyn's Journey

Just before Christmas 2011, Brooklyn was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma with metastases – a very rare and aggressive cancer.

He spent Christmas, New Years and his 11th birthday in Starship Children’s Hospital receiving treatment. It consisted of radiotherapy and a 54-
week regime of chemotherapy. With his case, he was only given a 20% chance of survival.

Unfortunately after nine months of battling the cancer, Brooklyn passed away surrounded by many family and friends.

Even in this time of sadness we celebrate Brooklyn’s life. He touched so many lives with his stubborn determination, his courage and his bravery and more importantly, the love he shared with everybody. He has inspired all those who followed his journey - friends, family, the wider community and across the world.

His journey will live on through this Foundation
- ‘BrooklynsLove’.
