Tournament Rules:

We will be playing the NEW RULES!

  • Each game will start and end on the hooter.
  • Each game will be one session of 25 minutes (no half time)
  • Each team must be at the allocated field in time for the refereeā€™s preliminary inspection and toss.
  • Players must wear approved touch footwear.  Rugby type boots are not to be worn. If detected during a game a player must leave the field and not return until approved footwear is worn.
  • If a player is sent from the field of play for any reason under the rules of Touch, that player cannot play in any further games of the tournament.
  • In the preliminary rounds draws count.
  • In the semi finals and finals a drop off will be played if required to obtain a result.


To determine the final position in each section:

  • Teams will be given 3 points for a win, 2 points for a draw, 1 point for a loss, 0 points for a default.
  • If a default occurs in section play the team defaulted against will be credited with a win with a game score of +5.
  • To determine placings the team with the highest points at the end of section play will be placed ahead.
  • If there are two or more teams with the same points - The team with the most wins will be placed ahead.
  • If the teams cannot be separated by wins - The team with the highest differential will be placed ahead.
  • If the teams cannot be separated by points differential the team who beat the other team first will be placed ahead. (who beat who, first)
  • If the teams cannot be separated by differential - The team that scored the most touchdowns will be placed ahead
  • If the teams cannot be separated by touchdowns - The team who had the least touchdowns scored against them will be placed ahead
  • 6. If the teams still cannot be separated - The Tournament Director will toss a coin to determine the position if after the five actions above cannot separate the teams


Protests/Appeals:

PROTESTS: Please try to resolve these on the field at the time - We are here to enjoy our day in loving memory of Brooklyn and to raise awareness about rhabdomyosarcoma. Protests will not be accepted at HQ 

Draw:

1. The Draw is Subject to Change.  PLEASE CONSULT THE BOARD AT ALL TIMES
2. An attempt will be made to have a balanced draw, ie in blocks of four teams so as each team gets at least 4 games during the tournament, and no more than six.
