Capital Football Vacancy – Women’s World Cup , Legacy, and Inclusion Manager

Capital Football are looking for a Women’s World Cup, Legacy, and Inclusion Manager to join the Capital Football team. This role has been created to capitalise on the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 (FWWC 23) to create positive and systemic change for all females, across the Wellington region.

The critical leadership role will further develop and deliver against the Leverage and Legacy Plan to increase the number and experience of females playing football, through formal structures, informal opportunities as well as the number of females in leadership roles across football.

Based out of the Federation’s offices in Petone, a vital part of the role will include:

  • Developing and driving Capital Football’s Leverage and Legacy Plan to capitalise on the hosting of the FWWC 23.
  • In conjunction with Capital Football’s core delivery teams, lead the implementation of the Leverage and Legacy Plan to create systemic change.
  • Lead of the development of current and implementation of different formats of football to attract new participants, particularly within the young women’s space.
  • In conjunction with Capital Football’s Diversity and Inclusion Officer, continue to develop and successfully implement Capital Football’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy both internally and externally.
