With a final look at the 2018 season, the stats are in.
Dani Ohlsson (Wellington United) lead the way with 13 goals for the 2018 W-League, while Martin Bueno (Napier City Rovers) tallied 22 to take the Ultra Football Central League Golden Boot. North Wellington’s Maksym Kowal finished with 23 goals to take the Capital Premier Golden Boot.
Western Suburbs outscored the rest of the UFCL competition with 63 goals, 5 more than League winners Napier City Rovers. Wellington United carryied the youngest squad of the Central League with an average age of just over 17 years old.
At the other end of the park, Wellington United only conceded 9 goals across the 15 game W-League season with Wairarapa a close second with 12. Wellington United also scored a goal on average every 19 minutes to total 71 for the season.
In Capital Premier North Wellington topped 50 points in a season taking both 25 points at home and away. They were also the only team in the competition to score over 3 goals a match on average.
