Social Media Policy
All Cashmere High, all sport social media pages must be approved by the Sports Director.
Cashmere Sport social media accounts must:
- Complete the process (form below) and wait for further notification
- Have a Cashmere staff member as an administrator on the account. Administrators will be responsible for monitoring posts, comments and reporting or removing inappropriate content as soon as possible.
- Posts and comments follow the expectations in the guidelines document below.
- Consider the appropriateness of sharing of photos, videos and information of the public. This includes Cashmere High students and staff but also more widely opposition players and supporters involved.
Social media accounts included are those set up for the purpose of creating and posting content about a particular Cashmere High player, team or sport. This includes all competitive and social teams linked to the Cashmere Sport programme. Approved accounts will be limited to Facebook and Instagram.
Content for social media pages:
- Must not use offensive, provocative or hateful language
- Must not be misleading, false or damage the reputation of another person or organisation
- Must respect and maintain the privacy of others and not release information not suitable for public, i.e. internal organisational details
- Must not damage the reputation or operations of Cashmere High School
Filming and photography guidelines:
- Respect the rules and policies of schools and venues regarding filming and recording of games
- Filming and recording of any games should seek consent from the opposition first.
- Focus on the activity or sport rather than individual students involved.
- Players should not be involved in filming or photography if actively involved in the game (eg from the playing bench)
