The first of the season's twin NZC Under 19 National Tournaments begin this weekend with our CENTRAL DISTRICTS UNDER 19 Women heading in as defending champions.
Central Districts completed the men's/women's NZC Under 19 trophy double for CD last summer, for the first time - with the women winning for the second time in three years.

Every season brings a fresh start and fresh squad, and CDCA is proud to name the 13 players selected to travel to Lincoln, as well as our two non-travelling reserves who will be on standby for the week if required.
BACKGROUND:
The next generation of emerging female talent has the opportunity to push for a spot at the first-ever ICC Under-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup when they assemble this weekend for the annual Gillette Venus Women’s National Under 19 Tournament.
With the ICC’s introduction of an Under-19 Cricket World Cup for women, NZC decided to adapt this national tournament three seasons ago from Under 21 to Under- 9 in order to offer opportunities and preparation for the younger age group looking to compete on the world stage.
New Zealand will send a squad to South Africa in January 2023 to participate in the first-ever ICC Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup.
The nationals are a mix of one-day and T20 cricket and all matches are played on the three grounds at NZC's High Performance Centre in Lincoln, Canterbury with playersb staying on site. Livescores are at www.nzc.nz and on the NZC app (and for matches played on the Bert Sutcliffe Oval, there will also be a free livestream).
Congratulations to the following players that will be representing us down south!
