Grades 5 - 9 ( grade is the age your child will be on the 31st of that year)

Beginning 2026, 9th grade will now fall under first kicks keeping in line with the new whole of football 2.0 rollout.

The First-kicks programme is a first introduction to football aimed at allowing kids to discover football, develop basic fundamental movement skills and have a positive football experience. Grades 5 - 7 play 3v3 & grades 8-9 play 5v5 (teams made up on the day) to allow and encourage more ball time for all, small goals, no goalkeepers, no throw ins. Played with a size 3 ball. 

Games & Trainings

First Kicks games are held on Saturdays at Kensington Park at 8am in collaboration with Marist, FC football & Maungkaramea football clubs.

Trainings:
We run x2 trainings, you can choose one or both.

Maunu School fields on Wednesdays - 3:30 to 4:30pm

Central Brown clubrooms on Thursdays - 4:30 to 5:30pm

Fees = $50

Our goal is to offer all children an opportunity to give football a try with minimal barriers, so for our first kicks program there a minimal cost to assist with the costs involved.
