GRANTS

​​​​​​We understand that the sporting season can present a large financial burden to some families. If you are struggling with the costs associated with our netball season, please contact ​​​​​​​Bridgette who will be happy to assist with grant applications where needed.


The following grants are available throughout our community that may be able to help:


VARIETY CHILDRENS FOUNDATION


This organisation funds individual grants for tamariki between the ages of 0 and 18. The grant will fund extra curricular activities that includes sports fees, uniforms etc. There are four closing dates each year: January 31st, April 30th, July 31st and October 31st. TE KIWAI FUND

For Māori tamariki and rangatahi within the South Island to help reduce the cost barriers to participate in sports and activities. The fund will provide up to $300 per child per year to help pay for new equipment, registration fees, shoes or uniforms, and other costs that could be a barrier to being physically active. SPORT NZ RURAL TRAVEL FUND

The Fund is designed to help subsidise rural travel for junior teams (aged 5-19 years) to participate in local sporting competitions taking place outside school time. Your club will need to apply on your behalf, they will not accept individual entries. Winter season applications close 6 May.


REBEL SPORT GRANTS

Rebel Sport Grants have been designed to support grass roots clubs and communities. Each club can apply for up to $10,000 to put toward expenses which are required to play sport and help enable more people to participate in grass roots sport. These expenses could be items such as uniforms or equipment, health and safety essentials, ground maintenance or club facilities. For more information and to apply click here.
