Central Hockey Club entered a Men's team in the HB Hockey competition in 2016 and added a Women's team in 2017. Both teams made the 2017 Finals of their respective grades. In 2018 the Men were promoted to Division 1 and the Women again made the Final.

2019 sees 2 Men's and 2 Women's teams taking the field with games on the new Centralines Sportspark turf at Waipukurau.

2020 was a bit of a slower start with Covid-19 pushing the season start date back. The Club has 4 teams again this season and are tracking well in their grades
