History

The association formed in 1938, was originally called Franklin as a sub association of the Auckland Table Tennis Association. In 1955 we became an association in our own right, affiliated directly to Table Tennis New Zealand and over a period of time our name has evolved into Counties Manukau Table Tennis Association. The boundaries of the association stretch from Mangere/Otahuhu in the north to Te Kauwhata in the South and extend from coast to coast. In this area is the city of Manukau, the fastest growing city in New Zealand.

All of the Counties Manukau activities, such as interclub and championship fixtures, are now based at the Manurewa Club's Stadium which is on the corner of Browns and McVilly Roads, Manurewa and is adjacent to the Homai Railway Station.
