Coastline Spring Men's competiton Grand Final Results

Rugby league is alive and kicking with six rugby league teams competing for the title of 2022 Coastline District Rugby League (CDRL) Spring Champion.

It was an awesome day celebrating senior men's rugby league at the inaugural CDRL Spring Competition grand final hosted at Te Puke on Saturday 17th September 2022. With the BOP rugby union season ending the opportunity and interest from players grew quickly for teams to participate and enter.

With vast talent and experience spread across the Coastline region this competition ran over five weeks with a grand final day whereby ladder standings enabled a grand final day bringing our rugby league community together in a festival like environment.

"Awesome atmosphere, crowd, and comaradiery among the participating teams. We have had lots more interest from our region and look forward to building a bigger and better spring competition in 2023", says CDRL Chairman and competition coordinator Stan (Bunny) Nicholas.

Stan goes on to say, "I specifically would like to thank all the players, coaches, volunteers, officials, sponsors, and the families for supporting the resurgence of rugby league in our Coastline region. We are proud of every individuals effort to build the profile of rugby league and look to growing further in 2023".

A huge thanks to Rangiuru Sports Club, and Coastline Cup winners Te Paamu Rugby League for enabling these finals to be played at their facilities and showcase our beloved rugby league game to the Te Puke community. The hosting with hangi kai was delicious and most appreciated by the wider rugby league community. Thank you on behalf of the CDRL Committee for a superb day and 2022 competition.

Well done to all the winning teams and clubs today.
