Coaching is a rewarding and fun way of making a positive contribution to our community and the game of Rugby League.
Coastline Rugby League offer training to all new coaches and provide programs to develop both new and returning coaches.
We start with the BASICS, communicating with players, rules of the game, skills and drills, provide you with a training kit and get you qualified to coach.
Our New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) Zone Coaching & Development officer is available to all new and returning coaches throughout the season in which you will be required to complete mandatory online workshops before conducting in person learning and development workshop clinics.
Anyone can become a coach. All you need is a keen interest in the game of rugby league and a willingness to work with others to build a positive team environment.You will need to learn simple rules and skills necessary to communicate effectively.
Your local club in conjunction with Coastline District Rugby League & New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) will provide development programs and courses for both players and Coaches.
The opportunities allow our coaches to become certified in coaching Rugby League and provides a base for players to develop skills in the game of Rugby League.
