Code of Conduct

For all CDRL members

To create the best possible learning environment, we would be grateful if players, parents, coaches, trainers, and team managers adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Arrive on time ready to play, coach and train.
  • Players to ensure that they wear appropriate shoes or boots for training and games.
  • All jewelry is removed.
  • No swearing, spitting, moaning, foul play.
  • CDRL reserves the right to expel any player without refund for anti-social behaviour.
  • Be positive to yourself and others.
  • Only the Coaches and managers reserve the right to provide constructive criticism.
  • Respect the learning environment by listening, discussion and questioning.
  • Respect all facilities and equipment and leave the facility in an orderly fashion.
  • Coaches are there to teach, not entertain.
  • Be prepared to play in restricted and repetitive practices.
  • Injured players are expected to come and watch the training session and games.
  • No player should participate with an injury.
  • Seek advice from the Coach at the end of the session.
  • Please inform the coach of non-attendance.
  • If you are unable to attend a practice training session or game for any reason – please let your coach or manager know before the training as they may have organised a training session around you or your position.
  • Ensure you display responsible behaviour when using social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, WhatsApp and forms of email.


For all CDRL Parents / Guardians

To achieve success for the individual, it is essential that parents or guardians understand and adhere to the following:

  • Ensure that their child is present at training and games.
  • Remain in the designated areas during training and games
  • Refrain from interfering with the coaching or refereeing of the child.
  • Be helpful but be mindful.
  • Are advised not to approach the coaching staff or team manager during a coaching session or match situation.
  • Refrain from using bad language in the presence of players or players friends/family.
  • Not to enter restricted areas.
  • Not to enter the field of play or players/coach discussion forum prior to, at half time or on conclusion of the game or training session -unless permitted by coach or team manager.
  • Ensure responsible behaviour when using social media including Facebook, Twitter and forms of email.


If one should have any concerns about the coaching and/or management of a child or child’s team, please contact the CDRL Board of Directors or Contact Us where your concerns will be discussed with with a response to come from a Board Member or CDRL representative within 48 hours.
