Eastbourne Cricket Club was established in 1919 . The club is one of the oldest cricket clubs in New Zealand .

About the Club

Eastbourne Cricket Club are based at the picturesque seaside ground at HW Shortt Park. We have combined Petone-Eastbourne senior Premier and Premier Reserve teams with Petone-Riverside cricket club, as well as our Eastbourne senior men’s team playing in 1st Grade. ECC have a strong junior club of about 110, with 6-7 teams playing on Sat mornings, and 70 Have a Go cricketers on Friday evenings at HW Shortt. ECC also have "Village Green" Sunday afternoon social cricket matches, and moreover, a progressive attitude and convivial atmosphere based on taking part in enjoyable cricket for all!

Junior Cricket Preseason Training for the 2021/2022

The season for junior cricket, years 2 - 8, starts on the weeknd of the 6th and 7th of November 2021.

Preseason will commence following the school holidays in October 2021

For the first training session we are proposing on getting all the kids together are doing a joint training. We will focus on the soft ball kids first, with older kids helping and then have a joint session for the hard ball kids.We will then have two more weekends of preseason training prior to the season starting (more details on this to follow).
