To kick start our season, the centre is setting up a "Give It A Go Day" for our tamariki. You may have seen this posted to our socials in the last week.

This is primarily a welcome back into the swing of things, type of day, chill and relaxed. Our centre are formally inviting you to join this pre-season event, tomorrow, Wednesday 22 April from 4pm onwards.

Based on registrations this season, teams have put into the following puna (see right).

HAVE A GO - FUTURE FERNS (ALL D GRADE Teams)

We have Aimee Te Whata (from Netball Waikato BOP) and her team joining us to take our younger grades (Y1-4) for some skills and drills sessions and introducing the fundamentals of Netball to them. They are showcasing Netball New Zealand's official junior program, which implements netball foundations and simplifies netball & development. An awesome opportunity for our peepi grades.

OPENING DAY FESTIVAL (ALL A, B and C Grade Teams)

For our more senior grades (Y5-8), the centre will host some games. These games are really an opportunity for our girls to have some more court time. Play with your friends, or jump in a new team and meet some other girls. Try a new netball position, or define your current. Lets have some fun.  Please find the draw for these games (right).

Note: this draw is the draw for the "opening day" only. It is not the draw for the competitive season. This draw will be out in a few days.

WORKING BEE

Whilst our tamariki a busy, we will be running a centre working bee in the background preparing our centre for the upcoming season. We are asking whaanau to come down and lend a hand. We would appreciate any helping hands available. We are sending out a tono to all our clubs and schools, to help us prepare the centre, ready for our tamariki if you are available.

A more detailed list of what is needed in the Working Bee itself, will be available at the Centre on Wednesday.

Can we please ask that our tamariki, D-Grade teams and respective Y5+ Grades, please arrive to the centre no later than 3:50pm. This is so that we can begin moving our tamariki into their areas ready for a 4pm start.

If you and your whaanau are free, nau mai haere mai. We would love to see you there.
