Helen joined us in 2025 with a desire to play netball with her daughter. On short notice she stepped in to fill the shoes of Goannas' Gem manager, when others could no longer commit, where she was an amazing asset at managing complex dynamics and a vocal support for women who are supporting the community. She came into the Guru's Committee late in 2025, where again she has been a true treasure with her business (including management) experience and knowledge from leadership roles in other not for profit organisations like Business and Professional Women of Franklin, Takaanini School, Friends of Opaki School, and RNZ Plunket Manawatu/Wanganui.

Helen grew up in Tararua and moved to Waiuku with her husband, son and daughter due to a work opportunity and continues to be drawn to support mental health, women's issues, and community cohesion and growth.
