A Special Mention: The Grade 10 Relay Team

We want to take a moment to give a very special mention to our relay team. These athletes made it all the way to the finals but unfortunately had to pull out due to an injury within the team. Despite the setback, the way they rallied around each other in support, showing unwavering team spirit and compassion, was truly remarkable. It was an inspiring moment for all of us to witness. While they didn’t finish the race as planned, their strength, resilience, and sportsmanship made a lasting impact on everyone watching.

A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Support Team

The success of the weekend wouldn’t have been possible without the support of so many individuals. A huge thank you to Shelley and Zarah, our fantastic team managers, whose dedication and attention to detail helped make the event run smoothly. Your behind-the-scenes work is so appreciated.

We’d also like to thank Camille, who captured so many wonderful moments with her stunning action shots, and of course, Coach Bailey. Not only did he coach our athletes to success, but his kindness in welcoming athletes from other clubs was a beautiful display of sportsmanship that left many parents in awe.

Thank You to the Parents

We’d also like to acknowledge the parents who made the trip to Hastings and cheered for our athletes throughout the weekend. Your presence, support, and enthusiasm were felt by every athlete, and we are so grateful for your involvement. The athletes heard you cheering from the stands, and it made all the difference!

Looking Forward to Colgate Games 2026

The excitement doesn’t stop here. We’re already looking ahead to next year’s Colgate Games, which will be held in Tauranga in 2026. We can’t wait to welcome even more of our athletes to compete on home turf, and we’re sure it will be another unforgettable event.

Thank you again to all athletes, coaches, parents, and supporters. The journey to success continues, and we’re incredibly proud of the community we’ve built together at GAAC. Keep aiming high, and let’s keep working hard for next year!

Go GAAC!
