Outstanding Overall Contribution to the Harlequins Sports Club as a player of both Premier and Premier Reserve team, coach of the JAB Year 4 Panthers team while also stepping in to assist along side Smithy with the Premier Womens team. Was a leader in the presentation of the Premier Jerseys to the team prior to the PREMIER FINAL, showed leadership on and off the field. Loyal to the club and 100% Harlies

JMAC Joinery Trophy

After taking a few years off the court to support the A team from the sidelines alongside Julie, Jess made an inspiring return to the game this season. Stepping back into her familiar shooting role, Jess led the attack with confidence and consistency, achieving shooting stats in the 80s and keeping the team competitive in every match. A natural leader both on and off the court, Jess is always the first to lend a hand. She not only contributes as a player but also gives her time as an umpire for Netball South Canterbury and the Harlequins club.

Jess’s energy is infectious — she’s the life of the party and a dedicated presence at every team event.

We’re sending all our best wishes for a strong and smooth recovery following her recent knee injury — a tough blow after such a stellar season, but if anyone can bounce back, it’s Jess!

In recoqnition of Julie’s unwavering dedication, leadership, and countless contributions to Harlequins over the past several years. Julie has been the A's coach for the past five years, consistently bringing knowledge, commitment, and passion to the court. She has also generously supported the B and C teams, sharing her expertise and fostering growth across the club, a vital member of the netball committee. Her leadership, team spirit, and willingness to help wherever needed have made her an invaluable part of the Harlequins community.

Tangi joined the club last year and with his exceptional knowledge and skill added by his team brought a long waited back to back Hammersley Cup championship to the club. The club is fortunate to have a player of his capabilities to lead by example while maintaining a desire to not only be the best but to also encourage and lead his fellow team mates on and off the field.

Teki has taken the senior team to back-to-back finals. He gives 100% to the Harlequin Club! He organizes training on Tuesdays and Thursdays, holds team meetings on Fridays and finds time to coach the South Canterbury team on Wednesdays. He is held in great respect in the club and has created a great culture in the club, a culture of caring, pride and respect. He has worked extremely hard to improve his coaching skills and to pass on the knowledge to others in the club. He has developed an exciting game plan that showcases the talent his players have.

Roz made her rugby debut in 2004, had a few years off, but is still an integral part of the women’s team! Roz gives 100% every week on and off the field, knows her limits, and is a great leader within the team. Always looking after the younger players and ensuring they have a good time. 100% dedicated and 100% Harlequins proud!

  • Janyne Hooke

Janyne dedicates an incredible amount of time and energy to our A netball team as team manager. Janyne is always there supporting at practices and games not only with the A team, but back up at the courts on Saturdays helping and supporting the B and C teams too.

Janyne is an active member of the netball committee, constantly working behind the scenes, attending South Canterbury Netball meetings, and organising the annual Ball (including supper!), On top of all that, Janyne regularly helps prepare suppers and food for the rugby teams as well. 100% dedicated and 100% Harlequins proud!

Jesse is the ultimate club man, gives 100% on and off the field to both the Premier and Premier Reserve teams. Jesse never complains, will play for whichever team needs him, then plays hard for often two games on the same day! Attends every club function and is 1st to pay his sub. Jesse is 100% dedicated and 100% Harlequins proud!

Unwavering support of both rugby and netball across all grades, any day/night of the week, quick to volunteer their services to all aspects of the club, Championship winning President, Judicial expert, SC delegates for both men’s and women’s rugby and ultimately bleed blue, black, yellow and red!
