  • Saturday 18th July. 10 – 2ish Pastels., chalk pastels, pastel pencils.

You will need to bring

an assortment of pastels/pastel pencil etc Blue green white

a ruler and a putty rubber

$12 for cost of paper

any utensils for pastel marking

your lunch

  • Saturday 8th August 10 – 2ish. No talent Workshop

You will need to bring

              A decent size canvas. At least 2ft square

              Acrylic paints – any colours you like

              Larger brushes

              Utensils to make marks

              Some large stencils if you have them (don’t worry if not – we have some)

              Your lunch

  • Saturday September 5th. 10 – 2ish Scraper board – fun!

Board will be provided

You will need to bring

a white or light-coloured soft pastel (NOT pastel pencil)

an A4 black and white picture (NOT portrait) building or landscape best.

$10 for cost of board - your lunch

Workshops will be held at Napier Arts club rooms – 122 Vigor Brown Street. 10am – 2pm ish

Fee for each workshop is $40 (extra $12 for pastel workshop and $10 for scraper board workshop to cover materials provided.)

Workshop fee to be paid directly into the Napier Arts club bank a/c 2 weeks prior to workshop date.

A good number of HAG members attended yesterday’s monthly meeting. - including former member Colleen Archibald, who spoke to those present regarding Pastel Artists of NZ (PANZ) online classes and competitions - www.pastelartists.co.nz    

Winter was the theme of our Saturday meeting as It’s the shortest day today (and our Secretary (Margaret’s) birthday) - PLUS the longest night tomorrow.
