Kahurānaki House is named after Kahurānaki Maunga, an important mountain to our local iwi. To us, it symbolises the importance of student aspirations - striving for personal best and to be the best we can be.

Our learners are involved in a huge range of clubs, groups, and other learning opportunities. Extension maths & literacy, hospitality, Kapa Haka, design, robotics, Pasifika, student council, and debating are a few of the things you'll find Kahurānaki students learning!

We are always working hard to show kindness and care for others and for our local community. Kahurānaki students are also working hard to demonstrate our school Manaakitanga values - respect for self, respect for others, respect for learning, and 'my community, my responsibility'. We aim to use Manaakitanga at all times - in and out of the classroom!

In Kahurānaki we reach for our best. So far this year we are undefeated in House Competitions, winning swimming sports, touch rugby, and house singing! We aim to be undefeated this year - House Mathletics we are coming for you!
