HNPC Community

There is a wealth of knowledge within the Club, so if you need some advice on things like purchasing tack or clothing, dealing with a tricky pony, finding a farrier or someone to clip your pony, buying feed or anything else, ask around – someone will be able to help you.

We have a social Annual Mid-Winter Xmas dinner for parents and an End of Year Family Xmas Party & Prizegiving.

We encourage, and in fact need, parents to get involved.  We have a fabulous committee with parents involved in coaching, administration, event coordination, caring for our grounds, etc., but there are always more jobs to do.

All parents are welcome and urged to attend committee meetings as that’s where you’ll learn how Pony Club runs, what the future plans are regarding rallies, courses and events, and you get a chance to have your say – and ask questions too.  Many of us started our involvement with Pony Club knowing very little and learnt so much at committee meetings.  Chances are if you have a question, someone else is wondering the same thing too.  So when you’re ready – consider coming along to a meeting.  I hope you find the Club friendly and welcoming.

HNPC Events & Fundraising

HNPC runs two competitions a year; a One Day Event (Eventing) in October and a Gymkhana, Dressage & Show Jumping Day (Kinross White Challenge) in May.  Both require lots of helpers and it is an expectation of your membership that you will assist with these events, including set up days and working bees.  Everyone has different talents and areas where they can help, so don’t be afraid to join in and lend a hand.

We also often run Cross Country Open Practice Days, which take less organising but are a good fundraising opportunity for the Club.
