There is a HNPC uniform, which is worn to rallies.  You do not have to purchase a Pony Club uniform immediately, but when you do it might be worth checking with one of the committee as there may be second-hand bargain items available if you prefer.

For new uniforms, the HNPC Jade Poloshirt can be ordered online via the Schooltex website – the link is: http://www.schooltex.co.nz/jade-schooltex-long-sleeve-polo.html  Once you receive your new Poloshirt this can be taken to Stitchery House, Queen Street, Hastings, for the HNPC Logo to be embroidered on the chest (the staff there know what is required).

General Rally Uniform

• Jade long-sleeved polo shirt with HNPC logo on chest
• Beige jodhpurs (available from most saddleries)
• Approved riding helmet
• Jodhpur boots
• Girls must wear hair tied back, ideally in a hairnet

More Formal competition & Examination Uniform

• As above, plus
• White collared shirt
• Navy blue tie
• NZPCA Badge
• Girls – long hair in a bun and a hairnet
• Whip
• Gloves

Additionally, it is expected that ponies/horses are well groomed and clean (no mud and dirt) and gear is also clean and in good working condition.
