The club also provide safety dry bags for use on the water. There are yellow dry bags located in the club shed. Crews must grab a yellow dry bag, and fill with the contents of the safety trays located on the shelf. At the end of use, return the contents to the trays, and hang the yellow dry bags upside down.

PLB Safety Beacon: The club provides 3x PLB Safety beacons model: GME MT610GNZ, for use when out on the water. It's important that you understand how to use these in case of an emergency. Please do review the documentation provided:
- Video Instruction click here Like the manual, most parts of the video tutorial is on the test of the device, which the club commits to carrying out. For users, please do take note on the instructions listed as part of the general self test, 1min 10sec mark, where deployment of the aerial is shown.
Night Lights: For any paddling that occurs at night then it is advised that night lights be used on the waka. Night lights with poles attached is located in the shed and can be lashed to the waka
Tow Rope: A tow rope is located in the club shed for use. This should be lashed to the waka when taken and not on the floor of the waka.
Additional Safety equipement: The club has a number of W6 spray skirts, vhf marine radio, gazeebo, megaphone and additional tow ropes. These are stored offsite of the club grounds. This is available for use by club members, please contact Hawaikinuiwakaama@gmail.com to request for the use of these items.
