To all our members and supporters, we encourage you to get behind the team. This is the first Semi Final the club has reached in over 10 years, and the last time the club reached a final, we went on to win it in 2011!
Our focus is now firmly on Tuesday night. Yes, we know last Saturday was disappointing for many reasons, some of which were outside our control. However, we have a top mentality when it comes to these moments, and the team knows how to stay focused.
We immediately shifted our preparation towards this Semi Final. Both teams are actually on very similar playing fields when you look at previous results and performances. Last Saturday’s scoreline didn’t truly reflect how tight the game was until the momentum changed. We also felt there was an arguably contentious decision around Conor’s goal, which could have changed the direction of the game.
We took a risk to try and score, and we did score. Unfortunately, with the goal being disallowed and the risk already taken, we stand by that decision. We love being a team that takes risks, plays with courage, and we will have no hesitation in bringing that mentality to life on Tuesday night!
