Last weekend’s result against Ferrymead Bays was one that left us feeling disappointed. Despite producing one of our strongest performances of the season, we fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat. We created quality chances throughout the match, competed with the league leaders for every minute, and walked away feeling we deserved at least a point from the game.
While the result was frustrating, there were plenty of positives to take. Our attitude, work rate, and football showed just how far this group has come. The difference came down to being more clinical in key moments. Something we’ve worked hard on throughout the week.
Our focus now shifts to this weekend’s fixture against UC 2nd XI. With the final round of the competition approaching, every point becomes even more important. This match presents a great opportunity to gain ground on the teams above us and continue building momentum heading into the closing stages of the season.
We know UC will provide a tough test, but our objective is clear. We need to back up our performances with results by taking our chances, staying disciplined, and being ruthless when our moments come.
We’re looking forward to another competitive contest and can’t wait to get back out on the pitch. We hope to see plenty of support on the sidelines as we push for an important three points this weekend.
