Sport is one of the five cornerstones of Hereworth life
Sport at Hereworth is highly valued and remains one of the five cornerstones of the School. We have an equal approach and see the benefit in a program that caters for both the competitor and the social sports participant.
Our staff, parents, and Old Boys & Girls along with local and national sporting organisations bring a wealth of coaching and managerial experience to our in-school sports program. Students who attend Hereworth are given quality sports tutelage within a structured program.
Summer and Winter sports teams compete in local weekly competitions for Tennis, Cricket, Softball, Teeball, Football, Hockey and Rugby. Hereworth students are regular attenders at Swimming carnivals, Chess tournaments, Cross Country events, Orienteering competitions and Athletic meetings at a local, regional and national level.
Hereworth sits on 22 acres of park-like grounds and is home to a 6 lane 23 metre swimming pool, 4 artificial tennis courts that double as hockey turf during the winter months, 5 grass cricket wickets, a purpose-built softball diamond, rugby and football fields. Along with the above, the staff and students have recently completed construction on the 400 plus metre mountain bike track which sits well inside the school grounds.
With endless opportunities and compulsory participation, all supported by a professional nurturing environment, the sky is the limit on what your child can achieve.
