Long before Hereworth had a chapel of its own, our boarders made a weekly walk to St Luke's Anglican Church in Havelock North for worship. This morning, students and staff retrace those steps.
In the years before 1960, the St Luke's community cared for the spiritual life of our boarding boys, and became an essential part of the Hereworth family. We remain grateful for that bond.
Together we will walk the same well-trodden footpaths, share a reflective service, and enjoy a picnic on the St Luke's lawn. Join us for a walk back in time, and honour those who came before us.
This is a school event, but our Old Boys, Old Girls and families are welcome to join us.
When: 28 February 2027
Where: Hereworth School at 9.15am for the walk to St Luke’s Church
Sunday Service: 10am - 11am, followed by a shared picnic-style morning tea on the St Luke's Church Lawn.
