Welcome to the Hurunui Rangers FC based in North Canterbury

Hurunui Rangers Football Club is the home of the beautiful game in the Hurunui region. Drawing on players from as far afield as Leithfield, Hanmer Springs, Greta Valley and Sefton, the club draws players from all over the Hurunui region and has all the hallmarks of a country football club with great grounds and fantastic side-line support. The club has grown rapidly over the last ten years, now having over 200 players.

We have grounds at our home for the last ten years, the Amberley Domain as well as in Culverden for junior football. For Youth and Senior games travel can be as far as Ashburton or Methven depending on the draws.

We are a multi ethnic club and have had players from Mexico, Denmark, Germany, Brazil, Chile, India, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales, as well as from all around the Pacific. But while our teams can be multi-national, we pride ourselves in being inclusive and seeing us all as Kiwis. 

The club junior teams begin with the 3-4 year olds doing First Kicks on a Thursday, then we have teams from 6th through to 10th grade which play in our own in-house league in Amberley and Culverden. The older 11th to 18th grade teams play in the Mainland Football Christchurch competition. The Senior Men now have four teams from the social level to the serious players- more are always welcome!
