​​​​​​​Are you ready to reel in some big catches and support a great cause?


The Leamington Rugby Sports Club Fishing Competition is on again.  Grab your mates, or the kids and family, anyone and everyone can take part. Just remember to get one ticket per rod! All fish handed in are auctioned off, with the proceeds going to Kids in Need Waikato.


Think you've got what it takes to reel in the biggest catch?


Or maybe you're a master at catching Kingfish. Whatever your specialty is, we've got a category for you. The adults section (13 and over) and kids section (under 13) have their own categories for the heaviest; Snapper, Kingfish, Kahawai, and Gurnard. Overall, anyone can enter for the heaviest crayfish, a mystery weight snapper, and best family photo. Thanks to all of our generous supporters there’s $1000’s of amazing prizes to be won. 2025 CHARITY


This year we have chosen to support Kids in Need Waikato. 

Their vision is "Every child feels valued, and recognises the potential to create a better future." 


Their purpose "We act, in trust, for children within the Waikato region, who are in the care of someone other than their parents, including support for the caregiver."


We believe this to be a fantastic cause and is locally based.


​​​​​​​​​​​​​​While we do promote the event and show what you can win, our maingoal is always to have the charities at the foreground. This weekend is about raising awareness, and donations, to support them. We thank you for your part in this!
