Dosen't help either when there is a foot od snow around.
                      ******************

very good effort.Played against Celtic 25.4.15"
Lost game 9-23: not a very good celebration for "GUS"

                      >>>>>>>>>>>>
How is this for interesting news;
Hayden Dwyer who has played 70 odd games for the club, has been away for a few years up in Mid Canterbury, back to the Point, now back with the Rams.
But te interesting part is he is managing a dairy support unit at Cattle Valley, which orginally belonged to a long time stalwart of the club Len King.Who in 1987 sold it to another lower grade player David Nelson, who sold it to the dairy support owner.in 2014
So in the 50 odd years there has been a rugby player out of that house.
Just as well the walls dont talk, could be some very interesting tales to tell.
                          ********************

There were some very interesting photo's in the Timaru Herald recently of some of our members got up to at the "MISS MACKENZIE SHOW:
I like the style and the legs  and the make up of the Senior Manager: The Club Captain cuts a awsome blonde: The IAB Delegate would  not go amiss driving a hard bargin:

A well known Life Member shows all  and a very nice pair of "JOCKS" to the unsuspecting "NUNS"  What would they think?
A strawberry stunner, would be no match for the sweet looking tatooed dark piece.
A good night was had by all. Well done to all those who took part and made it worth while.
The Under 8 Coach looks very cuddly:
Miss Peter Walsh and Associates was declared the winner. Miss Twin Oaks won the
Miss Congeniality title.
A former Player and Coach cut a smooth escort.
While the current Senior Coach in his kilt kept the show going as the nights M.C.

How is this for a bit of triva.
There are two members of the club who get very sore behind's with barb wire rash because they sit n the fence when these teams play as both of the estiem gentleman have been involede in some form or other with 3 club's over the years..
Take Len King played for the "Rams" in his early playing days. Did his O.E. to Waimate in played for them for 2 years. Back to the rams, than move into Timaru joined up with the Celtic club. Where the Len King Cup is played between the 2 clubs. Len is a Life Member of Mackenzie and a Honouary Vice President of Celtic. He has some big choices to make when the 3 teams are involved. Who do you think he favours?
Now Bruce Love is another fence sitter. started his involvement in Waimate (a Life Member there) moved up to Pleasant Point where he has a farm'. On the Point committe. But his son Nick plays for Mackenzie, Nick is now moving to Ranfurly where he is milking cows.. Who does he favour. Another club!!!!
Both Len & Bruce have been President of the SCRFU.
                      *****************

At the 50th Jubilee of the Waimate club there were several club members who have played for both club's:
Nevilee Becker: Len King, Mark Harbracken: Nick Love, Strodie Horler
Justin Geary, who now is our Senior Coach
Bruce Love is a very keen supporter of the club.
Jeremy Sutherland help to complile the history of the Sub - Union teams from Waimate.
There has always been a very close bond between the two clubs.

Other week in week out followers, The  Rowlands, Doug Marett, John Simpson, O'Connors, Stevensons/Smiths, Brian Dwyer, The Littles, Scarletts, The Grahams.
Where the conversations all vary in topices around the game we all love to play and watch.
