Becoming a coach
Mangawhai Football Club needs coaches. Without coaches, our kids cannot play. With the number of children playing, and with smaller team sizes we need more coaches than ever - particularly for our First Kicks teams!
Our coaches are mums, dads, older siblings, grandparents, whanau and friends that are simply keen to be involved and give it a go! You don't need to know all the rules in great detail - you just need to like children and be able to train once a week and attend games on Saturdays. Coaches are provided with a full kit of gear for each team, training ideas and support. The club will also pay costs if coaches wish to attend formal coaching training.
Each year many of the coaches from the previous year 'graduate' with their older children so please strongly consider being a coach - sport is a great way to be involved with your children!
