​​​​The upgrade to the Incorporated Societies Act requires the Manurewa Amateur Athletics & Harrier Inc club to create a new constitution for the club by April 5th 2026.

Athletics New Zealand have created  a constitution that athletes clubs can use as a template and this template meets the requirements of the new Incorporateed Societies act. The MAAHC inc committee have used this template and added our specific requirements to create the new MAAHC Inc constitution.

Note this constitution is not much different to our current constitution which the club upgraded in 2022 but this version now meets the new requirements required under the new act.

The club will have a meeting on Sunday March 15th at the clubrooms at 3.30pm - 4pm to ratify the new constitution.

Parents of the members of the club are welcome to attend this meeting and as per the current rules can vote as a proxy for their children if the child is under the age of 18ys.

The new constitution can be downloaded from this site if parents wish to look at the constitution before the meeting.

There is also a hard copy of the constitution at the clubs office that the parents can look at on club nights.
