🦅 Squad Goals: Our Teams and Grades at the Eagles

At the Manurewa Eagles, we pride ourselves on giving everyone a place to play, regardless of your age, gender, or experience level. Whether you want the full-contact gridiron experience or the fast, non-contact pace of flag football, we have a grade tailored to you.

Here is how our teams stack up at the Nest:

🏈 American Contact Football

Our contact program is built on precision, explosive power, and proper safety fundamentals. We field full contact rosters across four main divisions:

  • Men’s Grade: High-level, competitive football for senior players looking to push their athletic limits and vie for regional dominance.

  • Women’s Grade: After a stellar debut finishing as national runners-up, our women's program is a powerhouse built for athletes ready to make their mark on the national stage.

  • Colts (Under 20s): The ultimate development ground for our older youth athletes. This grade bridges the gap between youth sports and elite senior football, focusing heavily on mechanics and playbook execution.

  • Juniors (Under 17s): The perfect introduction to tackle football for teenagers. This grade focuses heavily on safe, fundamental tackling and blocking techniques, teamwork, and building confidence in pads within a highly supportive environment.

🪶 Flag Football (Non-Contact)

Perfect for those who want the speed, strategy, and catching thrill of American football without the heavy hits. Our flag program runs year-round across three main streams:

  • Senior Grades (Men’s & Women’s): Fast, highly technical, and deeply competitive. Home of our Auckland Regional Champion Men's Flag team!

  • Legends Grades: Designed for our veteran players and masters-level athletes who still love the strategy and competitive drive of the game, but want a smart, high-IQ flag environment to keep playing the sport they love.

  • Youth Grades (U10s to U18s): We start introducing players to the game as young as Under 10s all the way up to Under 18s. This is a fantastic, inclusive entry point for kids and teenagers to learn route-running, flag-pulling, and the rules of the game in a social, high-energy environment.
