Marian College Sport

Marian has an enviable reputation of 'punching above its weight'. We perform extraordinarily well at provincial and national level across a diverse range of sports. All students are encouraged to participate in sport and over 80% of students play sport for the school.

We have a rich history of successful sports women who have gone on to represent NZ and our region. We perform strongly in rowing, hockey and netball and we have a number of students who represent New Zealand in international competitions. Leadership and service opportunities abound through coaching, umpiring and organisation. Many of our students who have recently left Marian return to help with sport.

Transport:

All teams are required to find their own way to and from their sporting event. Games will be played all around Christchurch.

- Players must plan ahead (use of public transport, parent caregiver help) to ensure they get to their game by the required time.

Adult supervision:

All teams MUST have a responsible adult assigned to their team who will be at the games and conctact school with any concerns.

Payment:

You need to pay at the time of registration with Debit card (poli) or Credit card (stripe). If you do not have a card to make this payment please contact Mrs Jess Huia: sports@mariancollege.school.nz or Sharon Moody: sharonm@mariancollege.school.nz

How to register:

Please complete the online registration form by following the relevant tab at the top of the page under Winter or Summer Sports. Tournament Permission letters are also included on their own page.

Click on each or any of the sports your daughter/child wishes to play, complete the form, filling in the required boxes and confirm registration by completing the payment.
