REGISTRATIONS FOR 2024

Registrations for all players wishing to play for Marian College. The link to register is HERE

All players are required to pay a non-refundable $75 deposit prior to trials. Players who have not paid the $75 deposit will not be permitted to trial. Once initial payment has been made, full payment must be made by the first game of the season or arrangements in place for an automatic payment. This year due to the staggered cost of fees, full payment is to be made once teams are confirmed.

SUBSCRIPTIONS

Subscriptions for 2024 are:

Senior A team playing in the Senior grade on a Saturday at Nga Puna Wai: $250 per player

Senior B/C/D team playing in the Under 21 grade on a Monday night at Nga Puna Wai: $235 per player

Senior E/F team playing in the Under 17 grade on a Saturday at Nga Puna Wai: $225 per player

Year 10 A/B/C playing in the Under 15 grade on a Saturday at Nga Puna Wai:$205 per player

Year 9A playing in the Under 14 grade on a Saturday at Nga Puna Wai: $205 per player

Year 9B/9C playing in the Under 14 grade on a Saturday at Hagley Park: $195 per player

For your information an approximate breakdown of the fees are as follows:Approximately 80-90% goes towards fees payable to Netball NZ, Zone fees and Christchurch Netball. The remainder goes towards costs associated with school sport levies, uniforms (dresses, coaches coats), team bags, equipment such as balls, bibs, training gear, and administration costs. Please note we do not pay our coaches.

UNIFORMS

The cost of the playing dresses purchased and kept as their own by players who are new to the club is $95.

The compulsory required red socks are also available on registration day. The cost of these is $17.

The club has also registered a plain navy polyprop that can now be worn on cold, wet days under player tops (for those playing outdoors). No other colours are permitted to be worn.

A small number of second hand dresses are available for purchase at a cost of $50. Sizes are limited. Please contact Rachel Parkin on [email protected]

COMPETITION COMMENCES

The first day of competition for the grades is:

Senior A team - Saturday 27 April 2024

Under 21 Grade - Monday 29 April 2024

Under 17,15 and Under 14 - Saturday 5 May 2024

WEDNESDAY NETBALL IN WINTER

The Senior A, B and Year 9A and 10A netball teams only will play in the weekly Wednesday netball schools competition. There will be additional costs associated with umpiring costs. Players will be required to register for this once teams are selected.

AGM MEETING

The Marian College AGM will take place on Tuesday 19 March at 7.30pm in the school staffroom.
