The Marlborough Softball Association Representative Programme provides players with the opportunity to represent Marlborough in regional and national competitions. Our representative teams bring together players from across the association to compete at a higher level while developing their skills, teamwork and passion for the game.

Representing Marlborough is a privilege that recognises commitment, sportsmanship and a desire to continually improve both on and off the diamond.

What to Expect

• Trials held prior to representative tournaments.
• Quality coaching and player development.
• Regular team trainings leading into competition.
• Opportunities to compete against teams from across New Zealand.
• A supportive environment that encourages teamwork, respect and personal growth.

Selection Process

Representative teams are selected through an open trial process. Players are assessed by appointed selectors based on factors including skill, attitude, effort, teamwork and commitment. Selection aims to provide players with the opportunity to perform at their best while representing Marlborough with pride.

Eligibility

To be eligible for selection, players must:

• Meet the age requirements for the relevant grade.
• Be registered with a Marlborough Softball Association affiliated club (where applicable).
• Be available for trainings and tournament commitments.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude, good sportsmanship and commitment to the team.
