The Mighty Centurions cricket team was founded in 1996 by workmates sharing a mutual love of the summer game.
The team played it's first season in the Auckland Business House League [1996/1997] finishing 2nd in Division 4.
The next season the team moved to the Avondale Cricket Club where it spent the next 12 seasons [1997-2009] featuring in eight finals winning four [1997/98, 2000/01, 2005/06 & 2006/07].
Since the 2009/2010 season the team was based out of Waitakere Cricket Club.
Centurions numbers were allocated when an individual first became a financial member of the team.
