The Roommate Cabins: Waikato Men’s Juniors have announced a wider training squad for their upcoming 2021 representative campaign.

After a covid interrupted hiatus the Waikato Men’s Juniors return with new sponsor Roommate Cabins coming board on as front of jersey sponsor.

The Roommates Cabins: Waikato Men’s Juniors coaching staff consists of Ryan Marra, as the head coach, he will be assisted by assistant coaches, Greg Smith and Wayne Bootten.

The current wider training squad consists of 38 players from seven different Waikato rugby clubs that include, Fraser Tech, Hamilton Marist, Hautapu, Melville, Otorohanga, Te Awamutu Sports and University.

Their season kicks off with two preseason matches, the first being this weekend (7 August) against Wellington in Taihape followed by their second and final preseason match against Manawatu in Turangi the following week (14 August).

Competition games begin August 21^st with two homes games the first being against Taranaki at Fred Jones Park, followed by Thames Valley at Campbell Park in Morrinsville (28 August). Their final regular season game is against Bay of Plenty on September 4^th at Tauranga Domain before the semifinals commence on September 12^th.
