INFORMATION FOR COACHES, 2020 SEASON
DRILL IDEAS: there are heaps of ideas for drills on our website (under coaches information), on the Football South website and of course YouTube. Kids learn better when they have fun so add some variety where you can!
RESULTS: Results for all competitive grades (11th grade and up) must be sent by text to Nicky Standring as soon as your game has finished. Her cell number is 027 274-0220. Failure to do so may result in competition points not being allocated correctly. Please include the score and who you were playing.
AWAY STRIP: There is an “away strip” available for team’s especially when they play other Mosgiel teams (or perhaps Melchester). This strip will be available to the team that is named 2nd in the draw. Please contact Frank Verburg on 022 489 4363 to organise the collection and return of that strip.
STRIP ENQUIRED If you have any questions or comments about your teams strip please contact Frank (022 489 4363) in the first instance.
NETS: If your team is the first on a ground at Memorial Park on a Saturday morning please put the nets up. You should allow extra time for this. Nets are available from the store room at the north end of the Grandstand. If your team is the last Mosgiel team to play on that ground on a Saturday morning please bring the nets in.
PLAYER OF THE DAY: Don’t forget to send your Player of the Day winners along to the clubrooms on Saturday night at 5.15 (prize giving at 5.30 sharp). The winners will receive a drink, chocolate bar and a round of applause. They will also go in the draw to win a soccer ball and other goodies.

CANCELLATIONS: The best place to find out about cancellation is to register for text alerts is at Otago Cancel : http://www.otagocancel.co.nz or follow the Dunedin Cancellations Facebook page. More FM (97.4) or The Hits (89.4) will also broadcast cancellations. We will also post cancellations on the Mosgiel Junior Football Facebook page but please remember, we only find out about it when you do….we do not have access to any special information!
GROUNDS CLOSED?: If you are not sure whether Memorial is open for training check the DCC website: http://www.dunedin.govt.nz/ On their home page there is link to information on whether sportsgrounds are open or closed. We will also try and advise you by email when grounds are closed. DO NOT train on Memorial Park when closed!
