TEAMS (if you need to clarify rules): Please remember Umpiring can be a difficult and we need to clarify queries in a respectful way:
• Only the team organiser or captain is allowed to approach umpires. • If there are two umpires on your game, please approach both umpires, not one on their own. Please ask: ‘can I clarify a rule with you both’?
• If there is only one umpire, the coordinator will need to be present. The umpire is to get the coordinator to join the conversation.
• Please don’t wait until the end of the game to clarify the rules. If there is an issue during the game, please talk to the umpires in the next quarter break. We would like to educate or clarify during the game, so it is a better experience for all. • NCNC will not be accepting complaints about umpires or other teams if the issues were not brought to the coordinator and umpires’ attention during the game.
