ABOUT US
NELSON BASKETBALL

The Nelson Basketball Association was founded in 1968 and operates out of the association owned Jack Robins Memorial Stadium in Stoke, Nelson. Jack Robins is a singlecourt stadium with offices attached and truely is the heart of Basketball in Nelson, being built by players and supporters who wanted to give the game a home in Nelson.

Nelson has a strong representative history, having produced several Tall Blacks and Tall ferns, NZ Breakers and national age group representative players, coaches and managers. This is a tradition we are committed to continuing with the Association providing development opportunities for athletes of all ages throughout the year.

The NBA runs competitions year-round from our year 3&4 Junior 3x3 miniball through to our senior club competition which boasts several members of the Nelson Sparks and Giants players competing alongside the best of our local up and comers and previous legends of the game. These competitions are run at both Jack Robins and the 5 court Saxton Stadium at Saxton Fields.

If you would like to be involved with the Association or require further information about basketball in Nelson, head over to our 'contact us' tab and email the team.
