  • Teams and parents will receive emails during the season from Mel Leatuafi and /or Sam Vincent. Please keep an eye out for these.

Coaches, Managers and Umpires

WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!

We welcome and need coaches and umpires. Social teams may opt not to practice but every team needs to provide an umpire each week. With such a large number of NPGHS teams we rely on volunteers to help us make the season a success for our students.

A player whose parent, adult sibling (other close relative or family friend) coaches their team will pay a discounted fee.  This is to acknowlege the hard work and commitment that a coach puts into a season of netball.  If two parents coach, then they will pay half each of the discounted fee.

Umpiring / Rules classes

Every player is required to attend a rules class run by Mrs Eliason - these classes will be run at  Tuesday lunchtimes: 11th and 18th March and 1st and 8th March 2025. It is compulsary for every player to attend at least one rules class.

Every team is required to supply thier own umpire.

All umpires must have sat and passed the on-line theory test on the Netball Taranaki website to meet regulations and attend a workshop (which is the rules class run by Mrs Eliason).  This is the link for the on-line test -https://www.netballtaranaki.org.nz/learn/workshopscourses-3

If you are already a registered umpire and you would like to umpire this season, please let Mel Leatuafi know.

Failure to supply an umpire or using an unregistered umpire may incur a $150 fine by Netball Taranaki which the team is accountable for.

With over 300 girls playing netball, we regularly need uniform updates and replacements.

If you or your business are able to purchase a set of uniforms we would be extremely grateful.  Should you choose to sponsor a team, we can assure you that these will be worn by whatever team your daughter is in for at least that year.

If you can help with sponsorship, please contact Sports Director, Sam Vincent svincent@npghs.school.nz
