About Nuku Ora and the Healthy Active Learning Initiative:
Nuku Ora is the independent body for physical activity in the Wellington region. The concept of Nuku Ora is built around the whakataukī "Kia rau nuku, kia rau wai, kia rau ora," symbolising movement, life and joy. It encompasses the outcomes that we want to achieve in our region and reflects our vision of “Hauora - Everyone active, healthy, and happy.”

As part of the Healthy Active Learning team, you will contribute to a nationwide initiative focused on improving the wellbeing of children through quality physical activity, healthy eating, and a holistic approach to education. By working collaboratively with schools, kura, and communities, you will play a key role in promoting healthy active learning environments that support mental, physical, social and spiritual wellbeing.
There are two vacancies, and our preference is for trained teachers or people who have worked in an education setting, but all applications will be considered.
Vacancy #1 will focus on supporting our Healthy Active Learning schools in Lower Hutt.
Vacancy #2 will focus on supporting our Healthy Active Learning schools in Porirua and Kāpiti.
