PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT POLICY

PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

By registering with the Ohoka Netball Club (ONC), you agree to adhere and abide by our Player Code of Conduct:

  • Play for your enjoyment and not just to please parents and coaches. You are allowed to have fun.

  • Play by the rules, regardless of what you think of the rules.

  • Co-operate and show RESPECT to your coach, teammates, opponents and officials. Without them

    there would be no game.

  • Come prepared at the requested time for practice and games. If you are unable to attend a practice or a game, please inform your coach/manager as soon as possible to allow plenty of time for finding a replacement. Especially on game day.

  • Come with a positive attitude, always remembering this a team sport and every member of the team plays an important role.

  • Treat all players, as you would like to be treated. Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player.

  • Work equally hard for yourself and your team. Your team’s performance will benefit and so will you.

  • Be a good sport. Cheer on all good plays, whether they are your team or the opposition.

  • Never argue with an official. If you disagree, have your captain approach the official during a

    break or after the game.

  • Take ownership and accountability for yourself and your actions.

  • Control your temper. Verbal/physical abuse of anybody, deliberately fouling or provoking an opponent and throwing equipment is not acceptable or permitted in any sport. This behaviour will not be tolerated by ONC who reserve the right to deal with the situation as is deemed appropriate.

  • Wear the correct ONC uniform with pride and respect your club by looking after equipment, uniforms, courts.

  • Look after your uniform. It is your responsibility and any repairs/replacements required are at your cost.

  • Any breaches will be dealt with by the ONC Committee.
