The Gillette Venus Cup is the Premier Secondary Schoolgirls Competition for Years 9 – 13.
In each district there are regional qualifiers to reach the Gillette Venus Cup National Finals. This year the Otago Regional Qualifiers (Bates Cup) will be held in Dunedin and will consist of a round robin with the 1 and 2 placed teams facing off in the final.
The winner of the Otago Regional Qualifiers will head to the National Finals to be held in December, at the New Zealand Cricket High Performance Centre in Lincoln (TBC).
Bates Cup Dates
Sunday 24 March Round robin T20 seeded games (each team plays 3 games)
Monday 25 March 1 & 2 placed round robin teams play off for National Finals. (3 & 4 play friendly games against invitational teams).
