Congratulations to Jordan Keene and Mark Jacombs who defeated Brandon Williams and Hayden Warnes in a gripping final.

Huge congratulations to our semi finalists Ross Garner and Peter Earl and John & Jacquie Williams with John and Jacquie also winning the trophy for the married couple to go the furthest.

Fours

Congratulations to Daniel French, Nathan Trowel, Matthew Foster and Keri Te Tamaki on winning the Island Fours. The star studded team beat out a determined challenge from Robert Wilson, John Williams, Jane Wintringham and Jacquie Williams.

In the Semi Finals the French combo beat the experienced team from Southland comprised of Gary Low, Graham Low, Warwick Grey and Jan Low and in the other semifinal the Wilson led team got up over, in a tight match, Matthew Ellis, Ryan Bishop, Angela Bishop and Delwyn Ellis 6-4.

Triples

Congratulations to Alex Reed, Matthew Farquhar and Colin Williams on winning the Island Championship Triples for 2026.

After a closely contested final they came out victorious, after an extra end, over Brandon Williams, Hayden Warnes and Jakeb White.

In the Semifinals new Mat Black Alex Reed led his talented team to victory over John Williams, Irene Cron and Jacquie Williams while on the other side of the draw Otago’s Brandon Williams guided his side to the final with a win over Matthew Ellis, Ryan Bishop and Delwyn Ellis.

The overall aggregate trophy across all three disciplines was won by John and Jacquie Williams of Otago after a strong performance over a very intense three days.

Congratulations John and Jacquie we in Otago are all extremely proud of you.

Congratulations to Brandon Williams who has taken out the Otago Open Singles for 2026 with a close fought 9-8 win over Daniel French.

This was Brandon’s 14th title and his first Otago Open Singles title.

Third Equal was Michael Light and Greg Keene.

Congratulations to Tane Loper who claimed the Novice to go the furthest trophy. This trophy has been donated this year by David Webb.

Congratulations to Steph Derrett who has claimed the trophy for the Lady to go the furthest.

Congratulations to Wakari’s David Webb (12th title) and Eric Zhang (2nd title) on winning the Otago Open Pairs.

They beat the in form team of Judy Sell and Yvonne Adam 8-3 in a hard fought final.

The semifinals saw the Webb/Zhang combination overcome John and Jacquie Williams 9-6.

The other semifinal saw the Sell/ Adam team overcome Kevin Keogh and Lillian Roy 11-6.
