Rally Attendance

Our riders get together for rallies approximately every 3-4 weeks during the equestrian season. For our club this is from September to May although we do try to slot in some winter rallies too at other locations.

A rally brings riders together for coaching, working on theory, and for the social experience of being with other like-minded horse lovers.

Generally, both mounted coaching and theory cover all aspects of knowledge and skill required to attain New Zealand Pony Club Association certifications.

We ask that all members advise if they will be attending each rally, so that coaching can be planned.

We have a closed Facebook group for all current financial club members where rally details will be posted.

Some of our rallies may be off site, due to availability at Battle Hill, and some extra charges may apply. These will be advised if and when the situation arises.

Gear Checks

A gear check will be undertaken at each rally once rally set up is complete.

The aim of a gear check is to ensure all gear is safe and to standard, properly maintained and fitted, and that the safety and comfort of both pony and rider is achieved.

Points are awarded for correct gear, uniform, and turnout, as well as helping set up. These points are totalled at the end of the year and trophies awarded.

Health & Safety

We want everyone to be safe while attending Pony Club and adhere to the New Zealand Pony Clubs Association Health & Safety Programme.
