Join the PCC family!

Joining the Ponsonby Cruising Club brings many benefits, not least of which is great sailing and a friendly social scene.

Established in 1900, we take pride in our long history in yachting and its part in the development of a breed of New Zealand yachtsmen and yachtswomen who have proven themselves at least as capable as any others in the world.

Our aim is to get as many people as we can involved in the fantastic sport of sailing, and that is why we are always enthusiastically looking out for new people to get involved.

Club Facilities

The Logan Room member lounge and bar is where we hang out and socialise on Club Night, at club events, and after racing.

The Galley Restaurant serves light meals and snacks on Club Nights and after racing.

Our Harbour View Lounge is where we hold our larger club events and is also available for hire.

Showers are available for members.

Dinghly Lockers are available for rent for current and active members.

Our Accessibility Lift is available to provide full accessibility for those who need it.

Sailing Programme

The PCC introduced the Rum Race Series, held every Thursday afternoon and this tradition continues today with the Rum Race starting at 3.30pm in Autumn & Winter or 4.00pm during daylight savings. It is amazing just how many sailors are able to arrange an ‘early finish’ on a regular basis. Join the crews in the Club house after sailing.

During Spring and Summer (October until April) the Club runs several regattas and series. The Round Rangi Race, the Vintage & Veterans Regatta, the ANZAC Day Regatta, the Women’s Series every other week on Tuesday nights with all-women crews, various Mullet Boat Series and the PCC Cruising Series.
